Welcome to My Electronic Space; Thank You for Visiting.
I specialize in accessibility codes and standards for public-use and commercial-use sites and facilities. Codes and Standards are provided for application to the design, construction, addition to & alteration of sites, faculties, buildings and built-environment elements.
It is important to note that generally and with few exceptions, Residential portion of apartments, homes, and private dwelling units are not subject to compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standard (TAS) or the American with Disabilities Act Standards (ADAS).
National Services
With the introduction of the ADA – 1989, I have been studying and applying Accessibility Codes and Standards. I provide Site Accessibility Surveys for new and existing facilities. Site Assessments for compliance for commercial and industrial projects with Federal ADAS 2010 gives Ownership Team invaluable and gives information for managing rental and maintenance budgets.
Texas
I maintain current license as a RAS (Registered Accessibility Specialist) with TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation). License allows me to provide Plan Review and Post Construction Inspections required for the state’s Project Registration Program. I provide services throughout the state traveling Brownville to Amarillo and El Paso to Texarkana.
California
Since 2013 I have maintained certification with California’s DSA (Department of State Architecture) as a CASp (Certified Accessibility Specialist). Although I do not pursue work in California, the certification strengthens my knowledge in the very diverse Accessibility Codes and Guidelines. I maintain current CASp Certification satisfying state requirements for annual continuing education and participating in live conferences. .
